Updates from the Canadian Dental Care Plan
May 17, 2024

Our national dental care program is in full swing!

In just under two weeks, 2 million Canadians have successfully applied to the plan and 50, 000 seniors covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) have been seen by an oral health care provider. Coupled with the 9000 health care who have signed up under the plan, our government is ensuring everyone can have a healthy smile they are proud of.

Right now, the dental care plan is open to Canadians who are 65 and above, uninsured, and earning less than $90,000 a year. Starting in June, persons with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate and children under the age of 18 will be able to apply online. All remaining eligible Canadian residents between the ages of 18 and 64 will be able to apply online starting in 2025. The CDCP coverage offers everything from cleanings to root canal treatments.

The success of this program within the last two weeks is just the beginning!
