Patricia Lattanzio was elected as Member of Parliament for Saint-Leonard – Saint-Michel in the 2019, 2021 and 2025 federal elections.
On June 4th, 2025, Patricia was appointed by Prime Minister Mark Carney as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada. She also holds the role of vice-chair of the Canadian Section of ParlAmericas (CPAM) and vice-president of the Canada-Italy Interparliamentary Group (CAIT). Patricia is also a member on the House of Commons Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights.
In the previous Parliament, Patricia had been appointed member of the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP) in January 2022 and was named in January 2025, Chair of NSICOP by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau a mandate which ended with the start of the election on March 23rd, 2025. Patricia has also been a member of a variety of committees since 2020 including Scrutiny of Regulations, Official Languages, Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics and most recently Canadian Heritage.
Mother of three, entrepreneur and community leader, Patricia works tirelessly to ensure citizens can access the support they need. Passionate about Canadian politics from a young age, Patricia studied political science at McGill University where she obtained her bachelor's degree. Subsequently, she earned a Bachelor of Law degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, she established her own legal practice. A member of the Barreau du Québec since 1990, Patricia has pleaded before various courts and tribunals.
Prior to being elected Member of Parliament, Patricia was elected and served as a Montreal city councillor, representing the riding of St-Leonard. She was involved in various issues such as sustainable development, infrastructure sustainability and policies concerning the well-being of children.
At Montreal City Hall, Patricia served as Vice-Chair of the Standing Committee of the Inspector General and was the Official Opposition Critic for Legal affairs and Infrastructure files. Patricia was also an elected school board commissioner for the English Montreal School Board for twelve years. In this role, she represented the English language minority community and defended their constitutional rights via the preparation and subsequent presentations of briefs before the Quebec National Assembly.
As a proud member of the Italian community, Patricia understands the importance of diversity and is committed to be the voice of all the cultural communities that make up the beautiful mosaic of the riding.
