Inauguration of the Espace Voir Grand: A New Opportunity for Saint-Léonard-Saint-Michel!

Our community of Saint-Léonard-Saint-Michel is breaking new grounds, with the inauguration of the historic Espace Voir Grand by Amazon Web Services (AWS) at the Centre Lasallien. This new educational space is the first of its kind in Canada and the Francophone world, designed to provide unprecedented access to educational resources in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).

The Espace Voir Grand is much more than just a laboratory. It represents an incubator of innovation where students, teachers, and community members can explore ideas and develop essential skills. Equipped with cutting-edge technologies such as a 3D printer, robots, and minicomputers, this space is designed to promote practical and immersive learning.

A particularly noteworthy aspect of the Espace Voir Grand is its science workshops specifically for girls, led by the Scientifines. These initiatives aim to encourage more young women to pursue careers in science, a field where they are often underrepresented. Through these workshops, girls in Saint-Léonard-Saint-Michel will be better equipped to explore these exciting areas, helping to build a diverse and equitable workforce for the future!

The opening of the Espace Voir Grand represents a crucial opportunity for the 5,000 young people who attend the Centre LaSallien. It offers a stimulating environment where everyone can realize their potential and thrive.

We are proud to welcome this unique space to Saint-Michel and look forward to seeing the positive impacts it will have on our community. Together, we are opening the door to a future full of possibilities for generations to come!
