2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games

The world has come together in Italy for the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games, a global celebration of excellence, perseverance, and the unifying power of sport. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Italian Alps, these Games are showcasing the very best athletes on the planet, and Canadians have every reason to be proud as Team Canada takes the international stage with one of the largest delegations in the world.

For the first time ever, Team Canada athletes competing in women’s events outnumber those competing in men’s events. The Canadian Olympic Team includes 107 women and 99 men, a powerful reflection of the growth of women’s sport and the strength, leadership, and talent across our nation. This historic milestone speaks to the progress we have made in advancing opportunity and equality in sport, and it inspires the next generation of young athletes across Canada.

The Winter Olympics have a remarkable ability to unite us. From coast to coast to coast, Canadians are gathering with family and friends to cheer on our athletes and celebrate moments of pride. Whether it is watching Sidney Crosby lead in Men’s Ice hockey, Marie Philip Poulin deliver once again in Women’s Ice Hockey, or the King of the Moguls, Mikaël Kingsbury, win his fourth medal in his fourth Olympic Games, there is something for everyone to enjoy over these two incredible weeks of athletic excellence.

Behind every performance is a lifetime of sacrifice, discipline, and determination. I am immensely proud to cheer on Team Canada and stand with Canadians in celebrating the values that define us. Go Canada!
