Budget 2025 Passes the House of Commons

I am proud that our Liberal government has passed Budget 2025: Canada Strong through the House of Commons this week. The world is changing rapidly, and Canada must respond with courage, ambition, and vision. Energy security, economic stability, and national security are more connected than ever, and this budget lays the foundation for a new era of resilience and growth.

Budget 2025 makes responsible fiscal choices, spending less on government operations while investing more in people, productivity, and opportunity. It delivers historic investments in affordable housing, infrastructure, and national defence, strengthens our workforce through innovation and research, and ensures Canada remains competitive in critical sectors such as clean energy, advanced manufacturing, and artificial intelligence.

Importantly, Budget 2025 includes a meaningful tax cut for the middle class, putting more money in the pockets of Canadian families and supporting everyday Canadians in their daily lives.

This budget is about bold, strategic leadership, investing in our future while maintaining fiscal strength, with one of the lowest net debt-to-GDP ratios in the G7. It positions Canada to thrive amid global uncertainty, protect our sovereignty, and create good jobs across the country.

Passing Budget 2025 is more than a plan; it is a commitment to Canadians. I am proud to be part of a government that is acting decisively to build Canada Strong, creating a secure, resilient, and prosperous nation for today and for generations to come.
