The House Has Risen!

As the Fall parliamentary session wraps up, I want to take a moment to reflect on the significant progress we've made together this year. It's been an incredibly busy session and I'm proud of what we've accomplished as we continue to build a better future for all Canadians.

Throughout this session, we made strides on several key priorities that directly impact the lives of Canadians. Some of the accomplishments include:

A GST/HST two-month break on essentials, helping Canadians save on the costs of everyday necessities.
The Housing Accelerator Fund, a crucial step toward tackling Canada's housing crisis and helping more families find affordable homes.
The Youth Mental Health Fund, supporting the mental well-being of our next generation—because the future of our youth is worth investing in.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan, which ensures that more Canadians have access to the dental care they need, improving overall health and well-being.
The Expansion of the National Crime Prevention Strategy, making our communities safer and reducing crime across the country.
The Pharmacare Act, ensuring that Canadians have access to the medications they need, regardless of their income.
The National School Food Program, addressing food insecurity among students and ensuring that no child goes hungry while they’re learning.
And so much more!

But that's not all! In addition to these achievements, I was proud to see my Private Member's Bill, C-252, which amends the Food and Drugs Act to prohibit food and beverage marketing directed at children, studied in the Senate during this session. This Bill has the potential to protect the health and well-being of our children, and I want to thank everyone who has supported this important cause.

It's been an action-packed session, and I am deeply grateful to work alongside such dedicated colleagues who share my commitment to representing our constituents and making meaningful change for all Canadians.

As we head into the winter holidays, I look forward to spending time at home in Saint-Léonard-Saint-Michel., until the New Year in order to continue our important work in Ottawa.
