Applications for the Veteran and Family Well-being Fund are Open!
May 31, 2024

Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) has taken another step forward in its commitment to supporting the well-being of Veterans and their families. Monday marked the launch of a new call for applications for the Veteran and Family Well-being Fund, inviting organizations across the country to submit proposals for innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing the lives of those who have served our country.

Established in 2018, the Veteran and Family Well-being Fund serves as a vital resource for organizations dedicated to improving the lives of Veterans and their families. Through financial support, the Fund enables the implementation of impactful initiatives and the undertaking of crucial research in areas such as Veteran homelessness, mental health, transitioning to civilian life, and more.

One of the defining features of this call for applications is its commitment to inclusivity. A portion of the funding will be specifically earmarked for initiatives that support the health, research, and employment of Veterans, with a particular focus on women, Indigenous, and 2SLGBTQIA+ Veterans. This emphasis on diversity ensures that the needs of all Veterans and their families are recognized and addressed.

VAC is calling upon organizations in local communities to seize this opportunity to make a difference. By sharing this call for applications with relevant stakeholders, including nonprofits, community groups, and research institutions, we can amplify the impact of the Veteran and Family Well-being Fund. Together, we can empower organizations to develop and implement innovative solutions that directly benefit those who have served our nation.

Organizations interested in applying for funding from the Veteran and Family Well-being Fund are encouraged to submit their applications by Friday, July 12, 2024. Detailed information on the application process, eligibility criteria, and funding priorities can be found by following the link below:
