This morning, I joined Minister of Environment and Climate Change Steven Guilbeault to announce over $800K for community projects in freshwater conservation under the Community Interaction Program. This funding will help recipients, including the Comité ZIP des Seigneuries, the Comité ZIP du HSL, and the Conseil des Abénakis d'Odanak continue their work in combating invasive species, restoring ecosystems, and enhancing habitat quality.

Canada holds 20% of the world’s freshwater reserves, and our government is committed to safeguarding this invaluable resource for generations to come.
