Everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to call home.

The status quo isn’t working. In our communities, it’s too hard to build the types of housing we need, particularly affordable housing.

That’s why our government recently launched the Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) ! This $4 billion fund will create at least 100,000 net new housing units.

Local governments are invited to develop innovative action plans to eliminate existing obstacles to the building of new housing units, all while supporting the development of complete, low-carbon and climate-resilient communities, which are affordable, inclusive, equitable, and diverse.

This great initiative will allow us to keep making life more affordable for all Canadians by increasing our housing supply!
